Background
High-speed rail is one of the primary ways Chinese people travel long distances. The quality of station services significantly affects passengers' travel experience. Focusing on entertainment services, I conducted field research and interviews to analyze current issues and proposed improvements.
Field Research
People often arrive early at the station to avoid missing their train, making how to spend waiting time an important concern. However, most stations offer limited entertainment options.
Interview
I interviewed several people to understand how they spend their waiting time and what problems they face. Most people prefer using their electronic devices for entertainment rather than relying on the station's services.
Reference
I noticed that many shopping malls regularly host interesting installation art exhibitions in public areas, offering people a chance to relax and enjoy the art when they get tired of shopping.
Exhibition
Exhibitions can attract a wide range of people and offer flexible viewing times, making them ideal for passengers waiting for trains. I thought stations could host exhibitions to entertain passengers while helping artists promote their works.
